MILL DISTRICT LOFTS
An adaptive reuse of a 1908 textile warehouse into creative office and maker space. The existing heavy-timber structure and brick shell were retained and restored, with new steel-framed windows reopening bricked-in bays and a new stair and elevator core threaded through the plan. Mechanical systems are left exposed overhead, and a ground-floor cafe activates the corner and the street. Completed: 2024 Square Footage: 28,000 Project Type: Adaptive reuse Structure: Existing heavy timber and masonry Glazing: Steel-framed replacement windows
